Director’s 1st Take

Hi all,

A busy finish to the end of the month. Well done to all with regards to flow and access. We seem to have become the talk of the town and have other health services coming over to look at some of the great work that all of you have done . Well done, certainly something we all should be proud off.

We also welcome a new term of Interns to the group. I am sure they will find their experience here rich and rewarding.

A few updates:

1) Education – The education team have been busy and certainly refined some of the sessions.

A big thanks to Kishan for his efforts in developing our education website .. Still refining but certainly encourage all to look….. www.batcall.com.au

2) New innovations – Eye Connect . A new device launched to assist with communication to the RVEEH with photos . Inservices are occurring at the moment. Look out for the super users to assist . Launching 14th of June

3) We move towards the new high sensitive Troponin bio assay with different algorithm for rule out of ACS. Commences 6th June. Info to follow

4) Infection control – all staff need to ensure we are compliant with the immunization requirements of the health service. Flu season is upon us. Please ensure that you have had your flu vac for your as well as other patients and staff safety. If you elect not to have the immunization, please complete the necessary forms.

To keep the communication platform open, we are looking at using a platform called Slack to create discussion threads along with being another platform to communicate. The platform is Synced on PC’s, tablets and phones.
